Last month, we reported that Bravo has announced the premiere of the second installment of Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style
. That day has finally arrived and fans will get to see another season of the Bravo series, which puts the spotlight on Tim Gunn
and his new co-host Gretta Monahan, who replaces the first season’s co-host, Veronica Webb. Recently, Gunn spoke to Reality TV World about the changes viewers can expect to see on the second season of Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style.
"For our subjects, the women with whom we work, Gretta has her feet planted firmly in the ground," Gunn explained to Reality TV World. "And there's a girlfriend element to Gretta that - and with Veronica it was - she was on a pedestal. It was more difficult."
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Gunn adds that he is more than happy to co-host the show with Monahan, as he had been a fan of her style since they first met. He admits, “We did know each other. We had never worked together. But I had been a Gretta Monahan fan ever since I first met her. We co-hosted an event and I just thought 'this is the most magnificent, fabulous person and I'd love to do something with her.' And now here we are.”
As for Monahan, Gunn’s feelings are requited as she admits that she admires him for his hard work in the industry. She said, “I'm just so excited to tell you what a groupie I am of Tim's and for me, you know, I think a lot of people - we all are, you know, such fans of him and obviously everything [Gunn has] done for our industry.”
More than just a new host, the show boasts of a new format, which includes the removal of the weird underwear drawer segments. In fact, the hosts of the show say that this season, they will be dealing with more girls next door and typical women, as they want to shy away from the model-like figures they had last season.
"The fashion challenge space could be presented or can be confronted by any woman. And that's what I love about this season, that we're dealing with the woman next door and she has issues," Gunn explained.
"It's very accessible. It's about showing the really beautiful, you know, quality, taste and style of really applying that - those principles - how that really can make a gigantic transformation for someone internally and externally," Monahan added.
