Tim Gunn's Guide to Style: Find Your Celeb Style
Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style might be on hiatus for a little while (it’s set to return in November), but there’s still plenty of Tim Gunn advice to go around.

For one thing, you can always pick up his book or catch a re-run of one of the previously-run episodes of Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style. Or, check out your local celebrity magazine, and with Tim’s guidance, style yourself according to the celebrity most like your body type.

Are you on the curvy side? Tim Gunn says look to singer Beyonce. He says that with Beyonce, “we have a full-figured woman, a style maven. She cares about her clothes, and her overall look, and she has a gorgeous skin tone. She does what she does with great confidence…Beyoncé is sexy, but not even remotely vulgar.”

What if you are a little over the dating-Jay-Z age range? Look to Oprah Winfrey, says Tim. “Oprah knows the importance of a cinched waist on a woman and having clothes that show off your curves. She never gets into a box that just falls from her shoulders.” Um, I think there are many a photo from the ’80’s that would disprove that particular statement, but it is correct that in recent years, she has really learned how to flatter her figure.

Are you a petite young women? Check out Hilary Duff. Tim Gunn says of the young star, “The challenges of a petite woman are not to be underestimated, and Hilary does it well. What she does best is she understands silhouettes and proportions, as well as the impact of the high heel and how it elongates your body.”

If you’re neither an extremely slender model-type, nor a fuller-figure curvy Beyonce type, Jessica Alba might be the celeb icon for you. Tim says she’s become a style icon because, “Everything always fits her perfectly. I would say, in terms of her silhouette, Jessica's between runway model and full-figure. I use her frequently for examples of how to wear a halter because she does it so well.”

While you’re waiting for Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style to start up again, you can use these tips to keep your closet in tip-top shape.
