On the short-lived television series
Three Moons Over Milford, Nora Dunn was known as Michelle Graybar, one of the townsfolk in the picturesque small town in southern Vermont. Ambitious, devious and opportunistic, she was known as a real estate agent whose business-as-usual mind-set flies in the face of disaster. Despite the cancellation of the series, the 55-year-old actress remains active in the industry with occasional guest roles and upcoming movie.
On the big screen, the former
Three Moons Over Milford actress will be marking her comeback with a teen coming-of-age romantic dramedy directed by David Lee Miller. She'll be playing the mother of lead star Gabriel Sunday (Buster Williams) in a story about an odd couple, consisting of a media-obsessed geek and a beautiful twisted school girl, who unravel the hypocrisy of their high school by exposing the true desires, fears and ambitions of the students. The film also stars
Brooke Nevin (
The 4400) and is expected for release later this year.
Additionally, her movie
Southland Tales, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year, will be featured in selected theaters in the United States on November 9. It focuses on the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles as the center of political and environmental disaster. The cast includes
Sarah Michelle Gellar (
Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Mandy Moore (
A Walk to Remember), and Seann William Scott (
American Pie).
Following
Three Moons Over Milford, Nora Dunn landed guest roles on several television series such as
Shark, Law & Order and
Entourage in the episode “Manic Monday.” She also became preoccupied with comic tributes, animal galas and various celebrity events.
