'The Young and the Restless' Producer Edward Scott Joins 'Days of Our Lives'
In a shocking turn of events, Ken Corday, producer of Days of Our Lives, announced late Friday that Edward Scott of The Young and the Restless will be joining the Days team as co-executive producer.

“Ed comes with more than 20 years experience with The Young and the Restless and brings a new, vibrant, creative energy and strength to this all-important position of leadership,” Corday said of his new partner.  He is enthusiastic about the changes that Scott will bring for Days of Our Lives.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Scott is positive about the change as well.  “As a long-time fan of Days of Our Lives, I am excited to join the production team,” he said.  "I'm fully committed to bringing renewed success to this American icon.”

During his tenure on the long-running Young and the Restless, Scott is credited for five Daytime Emmy awards and 10 nominations for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series.

Marnie Saitta, also from The Young and the Restless, will join Scott on Days of Our Lives as the new casting director.  They will be replacing co-executive Steve Wyman, supervising producer Roy Steinberg and casting director Fran Bascom.  Wyman has been with Days of Our Lives as co-executive producer since 1990.

Scott is married to Melody Thomas Scott, who plays Nikki on The Young and the Restless.  They have three children: Alexandra, Jennifer, and Elizabeth.
