The Hiltons have had plenty of TV exposure over the last month.  Paris Hilton has made a guest appearance on a recent episode of My Name is Earl, her brother Barron has become a staple gossip show subject following his DUI arrest, while sister Nicky has been featured on Entertainment Tonight on several occasions.  While being a Hilton may seem like living in a soap opera world with all the wealth, scandal and the occasional arrest, Paris' mother, Kathy Hilton seems to have room for more drama.

Kathy, 49, is set to appear on The Young and the Restless on the soap's May 13 episode, which was filmed yesterday.  The socialite-turned-actress will be gracing the fictional city of Genoa as herself, ruffling some feathers by taking over a magazine photo shoot.

While there isn't much revealed about Kathy's Young and the Restless cameo and where her presence falls on the soap opera's bad behavior scale, there are many speculations that her fictional self will earn a few dirty looks.  In her Young and the Restless episode debut, Kathy tries to find a magazine cover model for her friend Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), but she ends up taking over the photo shoot.  As a result, this infuriates magazine staffers and most especially Phyllis (Michelle Stafford).

This isn't Kathy's first acting gig.  She had a part in the sci-fi horror The Dark, starring William Devane, Cathy Lee Crosby, Richard Jaeckel, and Keenan Wynn.  She also had roles as the French Maid in The Exotic Dreams of Casanova in 1971 and Bee Lady in the 1973 film Invasion of the Bee Girls.  On television, she guest starred on Bewitched, Family Affair, Happy Days, and The Rockford Files.  She was one of two final candidates for the role of Jan Brady in The Brady Bunch Hour, but the role eventually went to Geri Reischl.  Her most recent TV project involved some hosting duties in the reality series I Want To Be a Hilton on NBC.
