The Young and the Restless: Details on 'ANTM' Season 3 Winner Guest Stint, Plus A Casting Rumor

As
reported previously, Eva Marcille is making the transition from reality TV star models to daytime drama actress. The third season winner of
America's Next Top Model will join the cast of
The Young and the Restless on Wednesday, June 25, along with Jamia Simone Nash, who is credited for the film
August Rush.
Eva Marcille, formerly known as
Eva Pigford, will be playing a character named Tyra Hamilton, which is quite a reference to
America's Next Top Model host
Tyra Banks. She'll be serving as the aunt of Devon (
Bryton McClure) and a single mother to daughter Ana, played by Jamia Simone Nash. Devon will reportedly be reunited with them at Lily's (
Christel Khalil) 21st birthday party.
In other
Young and the Restless news, another casting rumor has made its way to the internet. Word on the street is that Donna Mills, actress who is known for her role on
Knots Landing as the infamous Abby Fairgate Ewing, will soon be playing the role of J.T.'s (
Thad Luckinbill) mother. Hopefully, her appearance on
The Young and the Restless will spice up the arguably lackluster J.T./Victoria storyline.
As of this moment, there hasn't been any confirmation about this casting scoop, but fans are already raving with excitement, as seen on various forums and message boards.
Aside from
Knots Landing, Mills was also noted for her role as ex-nun Laura Donnelly on the daytime soap opera
Love is a Many Splendored Thing, a role she played from 1967 to 1970. In 1971, she co-starred with Clint Eastwood in the thriller
Play Misty For Me, which has remained her most prominent movie role to date. Most recently, she guest starred on shows like
Melrose Place, Rude Awakening, Cold Case and
Nip/Tuck, where she appeared alongside fellow
Knots Landing star Joan Van Ark.
