On yesterday's episode of The Young and the Restless, JT (Thad Luckinbill) found out that he's the father of the baby, after an almost interminable wait.

Today's The Young and the Restless begin right after that news came to light.  Brad (Don Diamont) is clearly disappointed, but he congratulates JT.

Cane (Daniel Goddard) sits alone at the GCAC, thinking about the near-kiss he had with Lily (Christel Khalil).  He is interrupted from his reverie by Amber (Adrienne Frantz) who, holding a sprig of mistletoe, coyly asks for a kiss.  She gets flustered when Jill (Jess Walton) comes by and dismisses her.

Lily and Colleen (Tammin Sursok) are lifting weights at the gym, while Lily gives her the play-by-play about the almost kiss.

At the hospital, JT finds Brad and tells him that he can stay around at the hospital if he wants and invites him to call JT if he ever wants an update.  Brad is grateful for the gesture of goodwill.  The doctor comes by and gives a positive update about the baby.  The little guy is getting stronger and test results are coming back with good news.  Brad calls Sharon (Sharon Case) with the news that he isn't the father.

Lily is showered and dressed after her workout and stops by Cane and Jill's table in the dining room to say hi.  They insist that she join them.  Meanwhile, Amber is sitting alone at the bar when Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) sits next to her and consoles her about not being the center of Cane's attention.

Victor (Eric Braeden) meets with Nikki and coolly informs her that her loans are due, in full.  She is furious that he would pull this kind of stunt while their daughter is in a coma and their grandson is fighting for his life.  David Chow (Vincent Irizarry) comes by to see what's going on, and Victor is incensed by his presence.  He storms off.  David tells Nikki that he knew about the loan several days ago, and she is furious at him for keeping that from him.

Colleen comes by to see JT.  He fills her in on the result of the paternity test.  She's clearly disappointed that she doesn't have a new little brother, but she says she's happy for him.

Brad goes over to Sharon's office, devastated.  She is so sorry for him and gives him a hug.

Jill discuss the details of the Faces of Jabot contest with Lily and Cane.  Lily suggests shooting the spring ad in Paris, and Jill loves the idea.

Katherine hired Amber to be her trainer to help her with rehab from her accident at Clear Springs.  The two women are at the gym.  Katherine advises Amber not to get on Jill's bad side because it's not a comfortable place to be.

Sharon wants Brad to talk about what he's feeling and not keep it bottled up inside.  He really wanted the baby to be his son, and he feels like he lost a child.  He always wanted to take his son on a road trip following the Cleveland Indians.  Sharon reminds him that he actually already has a child, Abby, and he can take her on the road trip.  But I guess Brad doesn't really count Abby as a real child.  Oh yeah, and what about Colleen?

Victor gives JT a cigar and promises more when Victoria wakes up.  He also suggests that JT take a look at Victoria's baby name book and pick out a name.

Nikki bitches David out for keeping secrets from her.  She says that she doesn't want any man to think that he knows what's best for her.  You go, girlfriend!  David apologizes and promises he'll never be that man.  After the apology, they go into analysis mode to figure out their next move.

At the gym, Katherine asks Amber if she wants to enter the Faces of Jabot contest and determines that Amber just wants to win the contest to impress Cane.  Amber admits that she is still in love with Cane.

Jill is done with lunch, which gives Cane and Lily an opportunity to talk about their near romantic encounter.

Colleen finds Brad to offer her condolences.

Katherine tells Amber about how her own reckless behavior and drinking killed the man that she loved.  The moral of the story is, no matter how much you love someone, you can't do anything to make that person love you back.  She advises Amber to let Cane go because he doesn't love her back.

Lily says that she used to be nervous around him, but she's gotten to know him and like him.  But Cane starts in with the bad news.  He's 31 and she's 19, and even though he likes her so much, he shouldn't have flirted with her.  Lily gets furious with him for leading her on and storms away.

At the hospital, JT tells the baby that Victoria really liked the name Reed (Nikki's maiden name).  He welcomes Reed Hellstrom to the world.

Nikki goes back to the ranch, and begins fighting with Victor.  She informs him that she's suing him.

Next on The Young and the Restless:  Nick gets caught between his parents, Kevin can't believe what his mom just did, Jack and Sharon talk about their marriage.
