The Young and the Restless: December 4 Live Thoughts
The Young and the Restless: December 4 Live Thoughts
On The Young and the Restless today, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has succeeded in bringing Nick (Joshua Morrow) home for a little break from the hospital.  She comes home to find a big "Welcome Home" banner up on the ceiling.  They are both so sad for Victoria (Amelia Heinle) who is still in a coma, so they do the only thing that two hot, grieving people can do in a situation like this: undress and shag.

At the GCAC, Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Karen (Nia Peeples) are at the green charity dinner.  This is CBS' answer to NBC's Green Week.  Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Heather (Vail Bloom) make a lap around the room.

Colleen (Tammin Sursok) was supposed to be at the Green Dinner with Adrian, but she wants to stay at the hospital with her dad.  She asks Lily (Christel Khalil) to trade places with her.

Victor (Eric Braeden) and JT (Thad Luckinbill) talk to Victoria about the grandfetus.  In the nursery, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Brad (Don Diamont) also talk about naming the little tyke.

Lily and Adrian (Eyall Podell) show up at the dinner, make some obligatory green-themed small talk, and find out that they are to be seated with Cane and Heather.  From across the room, Neil is not happy to see Lily seated at Cane's table.

At the hospital, Dr. Webb says that since Victoria is stable, and the hospital is not equipped for longterm care, it might be time for the Newmans to think about moving her to a longterm care facility.

JT and Brad stare at the grandfetus through the window.  They engage in some light male grandstanding with regard to naming the child.

Nick and Phyllis play video games with Summer sitting in between them, and thus, Summer begins a lifetime dealing with ADHD.  The video game sounds are so funny and fake!  The pizza delivery guy comes to the door with Phyllis' favorite deep-dish.  Nick cutely makes Phyllis say that he's the best alien-killer of all time before allowing her to partake in the pizza.

At the Green Dinner, Lily makes awkward small talk about movies.  Heather says the last movie she saw was three years ago, and it was a subtitled French film.  Lily and Cane don't like foreign films, and bond over Superbad.  I'm impressed; that was a pretty good movie.  Heather and Adrian excuse themselves to go schmooze with some hoity-toity artist types, leaving Lily and Cane alone to flirt about Jim Carrey and Will Farrell.  Neil watches from across the room with concern because he says that Lily has poor judgment when it comes to men.

As Nikki and Victor discuss future options for Victoria, Brad corners the doctor and asks to find out the grandfetus' blood type.

Victor thinks that the best thing to do for Victoria is to move her back to the ranch, where she will be surrounded by familiar things.  Nikki agrees that is the best thing to do for her, but she doesn't look too happy about it.

Adrian and Heather talk about Heather's old college roommate, Macey.  As per usual, Adrian gets weird when the conversation turns to Macey.  Lily and Cane are scoping out the goods in the silent auction, and Cane offers to make a bid on one of the items for her.  Lily says thoughtfully that she's worried about her dad because he seems to be jumping into a relationship too quickly.  But is she really talking about Neil or is she talking about herself?

At the hospital, JT overhears the doctor telling Brad that the grandfetus' blood type is O-positive, which is the same as Brad's.

Nick teases Phyllis about how much pizza she's eating.

JT gets mad at Brad and calls him a selfish bastard for only being concerned about the paternity of the grandfetus.  Turns out that JT's blood type is also O-positive, so we still don't know who the father is.  It wouldn't be like The Young and the Restless to solve a mystery like this one so easily, would it?

Neil and Cane have been bidding on the concert tickets, but Karen won the auction.  Cane offers to take Lily home, but Neil coldly says that he can take care of it.

Nikki tells Victor that she would do anything for her daughter, which is why she wants to move back to the ranch.  Victor wants to know if this means that her relationship with that "other fellow" is over, but eventually agrees that it would be best if Niki moves back.

Heather is one smart cookie.  She knows that she and Cane did not have that much to talk about, and he spent the entire night talking to Lily.  She's not mad at him, but she admits that they have no chemistry.  She gently breaks it off with him, and says that she wants to be friends.

Nick and Phyllis talk about what they would want at their own funerals.  It's actually really cute and not morbid at all.

Brad quietly speaks to the grandfetus through the glass and decides to call him Arthur, after Brad's father.

Next on The Young and the Restless: Phyllis needs to go to Madison to help Jack, Nikki tells David that she's moving back to the ranch, Jack's hearing continues.
