Nigel Barker to Guest Star in The Young and the Restless
Art imitates life on upcoming episodes of The Young and the Restless as renowned photographer Nigel Barker, who serves as one of the judges on the CW’s America’s Next Top Model, is set to make his acting debut on the popular daytime series.

On The Young and the Restless, Barker will appear as himself, serving as a guest judge on the fictional reality series, Extreme Catwalk. His role quickly escalates to becoming a mediator between Jill Abbott, played by Jess Walton, and Gloria Fisher-Abbott, played by Judith Chapman. Jill, the CEO of Jabot Cosmetics, has been in constant conflict with her ex-husband’s widow, Gloria, and their feud reaches new heights when they serve as judges on Extreme Catwalk alongside Barker. Meanwhile, Amber Moore, played by Adrienne Frantz, will be seen showcasing her latest fashion designs on the runway. Frantz’s character is originally from another daytime series, The Bold and the Beautiful. Amber began appearing in the Young and the Restless in 2006, and she is still known for her scheming and devious ways, which include orchestrating her own wedding to Chancellor Cane Ashby.

A native of London, England, Barker has a very rich heritage, having been born of British, Sri Lankan, Portuguese and Irish bloodlines. He was preparing to pursue his medical studies when his mother decided to enter him in a televised model search called The Clothes Show, where he successfully became a finalist. From there, he started modeling extensively in London, Milan, Paris and New York City. Eventually, he shifted his focus to fashion and photography, and is now one of the most popular and sought-after photographers in the world. He has shot for a variety of magazines, including GQ, Interview, Paper, Lucky and People and for several well-known brands like Beefeater Gin, Sean John, Pierre Cardin, Sean John, Nicole Miller, Ted Baker and Land’s End.

Fans can catch Barker on The Young and the Restless on Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 30.
