As the week comes to a close, soap fans will be witnessing yet another memorable event on The Young and the Restless.  This time, the affair will be graced by none of other than Jennifer Rhodes, an American actress whose career spans four decades.

Read on to find out more.
Warning: Minor spoilers ahead.

According to Soaps.com, Rhodes will be making her debut on The Young and the Restless as she takes part of Jana (Emily O’Brien) and Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) wedding party, which will take place in Malibu.  Not much has been revealed about her storyline so fans will just have to stay tuned this Friday, August 15 to find out.

Rhodes’ television resume proved to be quite extensive as she appeared on Little House on the Prairie, Party of Five, Murphy Brown, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Family Matters, Friends, Popular, Knots Landing, The Agency and Boston Public, just to name a few.  And although she never had children of her own, Rhodes has been known as “Grams” on the series Charmed, where she played the spirit of the Charmed ones’ grandmother.  Despite not being a series regular, she is the only actress to have guest-starred in all eight seasons of Charmed.  Prior to landing the role of the tough-as-nails matriarch of the Halliwell clan, she first portrayed the character of Effie Gardner on Nightingales.

Recently, Rhodes has been cast in the upcoming comedy drama Let the Game Begin, which is expected to hit theaters next year.  The movie also stars Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie), Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami), Stephen Baldwin (The Genius Club), Natasha Henstridge (Eli Stone), Michael Madsen (Tilt, Strength and Honour), and James Avery (The Closer), just to name a few.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Rhodes isn’t the only actress dropping by The Young and the Restless on Friday. As reported previously, Billy Miller will be arriving in Genoa City as well.
