After a long period of absence on the TV canvass, Bronson Pinchot, best known for his goofy role on the sitcom
Perfect Strangers, returns to stir up the drama in Genoa City as he makes a guest appearance on
The Young and the Restless. According to The Soap Dispenser, the 48-year-old actor will be appearing on episodes scheduled on March 14, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26.
Not much has been revealed about Pinchot's storyline, though it has been reported that he'll be appearing on
The Young and the Restless as a publicist named Patrick.
Aside from playing the humorous foreigner Balki Bartokomous on
Perfect Strangers, in which he was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 1987, Pinchot portrayed a lot of offbeat characters on other television series and in films as well.
Pinchot appeared in several movies, including
Risky Business, True Romance, Courage Under Fire, It's My Party, Beverly Hills Cop III, in which he reprised his popular supporting role from the first installment of the movie.
Following his stint on
Perfect Strangers, Pinchot was added to the sitcom
Step by Step in 1996 and remained on the show for a season. He played a character reminiscent of the character he played in
Beverly Hills Cop. He then starred in the short-lived 1997 science fiction comedy
Meego, and guest starred in a first season episode of
3rd Rock from the Sun, playing the younger brother of Dr. Mary Albright (Jane Curtin).
Recently, he landed several guest spots on shows like
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and was even cast in movies such as
From a Place of Darkness, Cluster and
Mr. Art Critic, which are all currently in production and are expected to hit theaters later this year.
