The X Factor
returns for its sophomore run this fall
with two new faces in the form of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, who will both join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid in the judging panel. While the show serves as a huge platform to boost the careers of Spears and Lovato, who both endured controversies and personal struggles over the years, these female judges have plenty to offer on The X Factor
as revealed by Cowell at the recent Television Critics Association summer press tour.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
"I'm not going to lie about this. I always said the no. 1 person I wanted on one of these shows was Britney. She's intriguing. You see a different side to her and she's a really great judge... Britney is quite mean, which you'll soon discover," Cowell said.
As for Lovato, Cowell jokingly describes the former Camp Rock star as "a brat" though "there's something really likable about her as well."
Both Lovato and Spears were ultimately praised by Cowell for their refreshing youthful energy and honesty on the show though admits that "they are harder to please." Video: Watch a new X Factor promo>>
Aside from Lovato and Spears, Cowell said that a new host for The X Factor will likely be announced next month. Cowell also hinted that there might be two hosts, ideally a male and a female who have not hosted a show before.
