If you're like me, you were sitting at home after a long day at work, or school, anxiously awaiting Simon, Britney, LA and Demi's top 4 decisions for their assigned groups for this season of The X Factor
. Yet to your dismay, the last episode of the month of October was nowhere to be found
. And what stared you in the face instead? Baseball.
It was game 3 of the series between the San Fransisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals, sitting at the bottom of the third. Then suddenly the heavens opened and the rain kept coming and coming. Because the field was unsuitable for play, they just put the game on pause, therefore pushing our beloved X Factor
to the back burner.
It was a very confusing night, seeing as how fans on the west coast weren't given an opportunity to see any part of the episode whatsoever. In case you were curious, and don't mind a few spoilers, here's how it all happened.
There was baseball commentary for a few awhile and then POW! The X Factor
airs for 40 minutes never to return after a commercial break. The Mindy Project
took its place instead. We weren't the only ones tilting our heads and squinting our eyes. Britney Spears tweeted
, "Well, not sure what happened there!"
Talent search veteran and head honcho behind the show Simon Cowell didn't seem very pleased at all. He tweeted
, "It what's known as a total f up." I would hate to be on the receiving end of the first phone call made after he received the bad news.
Even with all of the chaos we did get to meet 2 official teams: The Teens and the Over 25s.
According to @TheXFactorUSA
, the official Twitter account, Wednesday's episode will air in its entirety Tuesday night on Fox at 8PM ET. So plan accordingly to TiVo The Voice
because there are another 16 contestants to be revealed for the live shows, starting in November. (Image courtesy of FOX)
