The Wire is an action-drama series created by David Simon. It follows the long-term family business dealing illegal drugs and the actions of the Baltimore police to control their trade. Moreover, the show is told from both points of view and also brings light to the people underneath these organizations.

Having realistic characters, the show The Wire incorporates realism in its themes, depicting the processes of both police work and criminal activity. To complete the package, a swarm of talented actors make up the show such as Dominic West (James “Jimmy” McNulty), Wendell Pierce (William “Bunk” Moreland), John Doman (William Rawls), JD Williams (Preston “Bodue Broadus), Jamie Hector (Marlo Stanfield) and Method Man (Melvin “Cheese” Wagstaff) just to name a few.

The Wire is also produced by David Simon. It airs Sundays at 9:00 PM on HBO.
