Biography

Missi Pyle Biography:

Missi Pyle was born on November 16, 1972 in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Germantown High School in Tenessee in 1991 and was a student of the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem in North Carolina. She moved to New York City shortly after completing her studies, where she was able to build her career as a theater actress. She got the opportunity to act alongside John Malkovich in the off-Broadway production of The Libertine, and broke through the big screen when she appeared in the Academy Award winning film, As Good as it Gets. Her other film appearances include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Just My Luck. Pyle has also contributed her acting skills to television shows such as Heroes , The Sarah Silverman Show, Boston Legal , Friends, My Name is Earl and Two and a Half Men . Pyle is currently a regular on the FOX television series, The Wedding Bells.

Amanda Pontell is played by Missi Pyle on the show The Wedding Bells. Amanda used to be a client of the Bell sisters’ wedding planning business, but now finds herself working alongside of them as one of the company’s board members.
