The Walking Dead returns in less than a month for the conclusion of season 3 when a battle is sure to be waged between the residents of Woodbury and those of the prison. AMC released new art to promote the show's return and it highlights the coming confrontation between the Governor and Rick with the title, "An Eye For An Eye."

While confrontation is expected on the show, it's the behind-the-scene upheavals that many are discussing. Back in December, AMC and Showrunner Glen Mazzara announced that he would finish out season 3, but would not be returning for the announced season 4.

Mazzara replaced the previously ousted original The Walking Dead showrunner Frank Darabont during season 2. Today, THR is reporting that Executive Producer Scott Gimple will assume that role next season.

Regardless of the shake ups behind-the-scenes, fans watch for what happens on the show. Given the action-packed The Walking Dead season 3.5 videos that have already been released, it doesn't look like there is anything to be concerned about for this season.

We'll have to wait for season 4 to know if the show is affected in a positive or negative way.

The Walking Dead mid-season premiere airs on Sunday, February 10 at 9 pm ET on AMC.
