When The Walking Dead returns for season 3 this October, according to the cast, it is going to be non-stop action complete with lots of zombies. That's quite a shift from last season's nearly zombie-less episodes centered around the characters and how they were dealing with their new world.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

AMC has released a new four-plus minute video with cast interviews and new footage from the season. This season will revolve around two separate locations: the prison and the utopia town of Woodbury.

Despite a mob of zombies occupying the prison, Rick feels that it is the best place for the group to hunker down. While that may not seem like a good decision on the surface, the prison should provide plenty of action for the group and entertainment for the viewers. It is an enormous shift from the relative safety they had at Hershal's farm.

Once they lockdown a portion of the prison, it should provide safety from zombies and give them access to any food, medicine, and ammenities that still remain there. The prison also acts as a defensible fortress.

Andrea, who was separated from the rest of the group, finds herself in the company of Michonne. From the preview, it's not clear how they end up with the Governor, but they end up in the town of Woodbury. At first look, it's a utopia free from zombies and terrible world outside.

I haven't read the comics, but I'm guessing that just as the prison is full of threats, so will Woodbury. The eventual meeting of the Governor and Rick will surely be epic. The two macho men with different philosophies going head-to-head will be a moment to await. If Andrea has to pick a side, which will she take?

One complaint about last season was the limited interaction between the group and zombies. From the trailer that looks to be resolved this season. The other major complaint was that T-Dog was relegated to a background role. According to the video, "You will get more T-Dog." Let's just hope he isn't killed!

Lastly, we will finally find out what happened to Merle after he cut off his hand in season 1 to escape from the rooftop. He's back.

Check out the video to hear more from the cast about The Walking Dead season 3 which premieres on October 14th at 9 pm ET on AMC.
