We're just a few weeks away from the premiere of The Voice
and the season is already taking shape. Two coaches have found musicians to join their team as a mentor, and it should make for some friendly rivalries.

Miranda Lambert Joins Team Shakira
Miranda Lambert mentored her husband's team back in season 2 -- Team Blake, of course. Now she's returning to help the enemy, Team Shakira.
This should make for some interesting dynamics within the show, which might be exactly why Miranda probably signed on -- taking one for the team! Why not bring her back to stir things up and make it more interesting? It'll probably get more people tuned in just to see Blake's reaction to it all, and even the comments from Adam.
It's better that Miranda joins Team Shakira because Team Usher would be too random, and Team Adam -- well, even I wouldn't really want that to happen.
Blake Recruits The Band Perry
With his wife on the competition's team, Blake has turned to country group The Band Perry to serve as mentors for his team, E! Online reported
Is it fair to have a group be mentors? Or will there be too many cooks in the kitchen? Probably not, but it will sure be crowded as they help the singers during the Battle Rounds. Perhaps this might mean that Blake will be looking to bring groups to his team, like he did with The Swon Brothers.
First Look at Season 6
The upcoming season features the return of Shakira and Usher as Christina and Cee Lo take their second-year spring break from the show. Check out a little bit on what you can expect:
That voice is Christina Grimme, a YouTube star with close to 2.5 million subscribers! Can you say season 6 frontrunner? That's a lot of people who will know she's on The Voice and need their votes to win. Okay -- so that might be a little premature, but she has a huge fan base already. That will only help her, not hurt her.
Also in the clip, there is an overwhelming female advantage. I counted eight, with three guys. Sure, that might not mean anything, but it's something to keep an eye on.
The Voice returns with the two-hour season 6 premiere on Monday, February 24 at 8pm on NBC.
