The Battle Rounds begin tonight on The Voice
and it's going to get very real very fast. Cee Lo Green is putting
Trevin Hunte against Amanda Brown, and it's unbelievably epic.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
This season the show is introducing a new twist, the Steal. Each coach has the chance to steal two singers away from another team if they lose the Battle. And the Steal is definitely getting used this time.
In this Battle, Trevin and Amanda take Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love," and they both kill it. The coaches and audience give them a standing ovation and Adam Levine hits his button before Cee Lo even makes up his mind, because he would steal either of them.
The coaches get a little carried away (Adam standing on his chair, Blake Shelton revealing his attraction to Trevin), but it's warranted because both singers are amazing.
The best point is made by Adam, who calls Cee Lo stupid for putting these two singers against each other. He's right, but I agree with Cee Lo's logic. He thought Amanda was a throwaway contestant, and so did I based on her original audition. There was no indication she was capable of this.
It's funny to see that the coaches play favorites and set up these battles knowing in advance who they want. It's obvious Cee Lo's original plan was to keep Trevin, send Amanda home and not think twice about it. I suspect he'll stick with that plan, only this time one of the other coaches will get to pick up Amanda and get a potential champion. The Voice
