'The Voice' Elite Eight Become Superheroes
'The Voice' Elite Eight Become Superheroes
A new promo for The Voice has the show's eight semifinalists referencing the current buzz around superhero flicks by starring in a trailer for one of their own.

The recently released TV spot has the hopeful singers banding together against "a Purrfect evil," better known as the show's semi-official mascot, Purrfect the Cat.

Team Christina's Chris Mann, who's been referred to as "The Opera Guy," gets to sport a Phantom of the Opera mask. Meanwhile, Team Adam's Tony Lucca breaks a guitar, and Team Blake's Jermaine Paul gets an eyepatch, among other highlights.

It's the second spoof clip the show has done. It previously placed its top sixteen in the fake intro to a cheesy sitcom, complete with poppy theme music.

The top eight will sing for your vote on Monday, April 30, and be narrowed down to four finalists on Tuesday, May 1.

Also on Monday, coach Blake Shelton will take the stage to perform "Over," the next single off his most recent album, Red River Blue.
