Shania Twain Joins 'The Voice' as Top 12 Key Advisor

NBC's The Voice has upped its ante and added superstar country singer Shania Twain to their all-star lineup. She is slated to join the show as a key adviser for the Top 12 artists Monday, April 24. The now even luckier Top 12 will receive up close and personal mentoring from the Queen of Country Pop herself.

The news was first announced via Twitter Thursday when the show's official page released the message, "BREAKING NEWS: Global superstar @ShaniaTwain joins #TheVoice as the Top 12 Key Advisor on Monday, April 24." It also added the hash tag, "#ShaniaOnTheVoice".

The You're Still the One songstress also expressed her joy and eagerness about joining the team on her own page.

"Excited to announce that I'll appear on @nbcthevoice this month, as a mentor to the finalists." She encouraged viewers and fans to, "tune in" on April 24th. 

The announcement comes just days of the next episode that is slated to air Monday, April 17. Then, the singers who are still in the competition will compete for the Top 12, who will receive advice and mentorship from Twain, according to a press release. There is another episode slated to air Tuesday, April 18. Those singers will also be competing for the coveted Top 12 slot on the singing competition.

Other advisors announced this season include Celine Dion, John Legend, Luke Bryan, and mega producer and rapper DJ Khaled.
