NBC really, really, really, really loves
The Voice.
The Emmy-nominated reality competition is debuting in the fall for the
first time next week, and now it's gone from two nights to three.
The Voice season 3 is already scheduled for a two-hour blind auditions episode on Monday, September 10 at 8pm on NBC and a second, hour-long installment Tuesday, September 11 at 8pm.
Now NBC has decided to air a third hour during premiere week on Wednesday, September 12 at 8pm, replacing a schedule repeat of
America's Got Talent.
Not only is the decision a huge vote of confidence in
The Voice, but it's also a massive "FU" to FOX. Wednesday at 8pm is when the second season of
The X Factor premieres, so this is clearly a move designed to steal away some of FOX's thunder. It also pits former Mickey Mouse Club members Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears against each other.
Wednesday, September 12 at 8pm is now going to be a massive three-car pile-up of reality TV giants, with
The Voice and
The X Factor doing battle with
Big Brother 14 on CBS.
Is three nights of
The Voice too much for a single week, or are you excited to see Adam Levine and Cee Le Green three days in a row?
