Rosie O’Donnell may have left the all-female morning talk show,
The View, but her departure does not mean that her work in daytime television has come to an end.
According to the 45-year-old’s personal blog, there is a good chance that she will get to take over hosting duties of the long-running game show,
The Price is Right. Friday's episode of the show signaled the end of host Bob Barker's 35-year run.

O’Donnell also said that she is probably going to meet the producers of the game show this week to discuss the matter.
A video posted on O’Donnell’s blog last week showed the former
The View co-host talking with
The Tonight Show’s Ross “The Intern” Matthews. During their conversation, O’Donnell told Matthews that she had been pleading with
The Price is Right “on a daily basis.”
“I still send them emails every day,” she said.
She also remarked that should she get the hosting job, she would want Matthews to be the show's announcer, to which Matthews replied, “For free, I would do it.”
However, O’Donnell, who left
The View in May after a heated argument with
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, did admit in the same video posting that there was a “slim chance” she would be named the new host, adding, “They have to want me, I’ve learned.”
In the past months, CBS has been on the look-out for Barker’s possible replacement. Among those who have been deemed the best candidates are television actor George Hamilton,
Entertainment Tonight co-host Mark Steiner, and E! Entertainment correspondent Todd Newton, who also hosts the live version of
The Price is Right in Las Vegas.
At this time, It is unclear whether or not O'Donnell, if given the job, would be willing to move to Los Angeles, where the show is taped. At present, O’Donnell, her partner and their four children live outside New York.
