Born Elisabeth Grace Filarski on May 28, 1977 in Cranston, Rhode Island, Elisabeth Hasselbeck was raised by liberal parents but remained to be politically conservative. She started out as a footwear designer before joining the reality show Survivor: The Australian Outback. After gaining public attention in the reality series, she went on to host shows like The Look for Less and in 2003, she was cast as the replacement co-host of Lisa Ling in The View. In July 2002, she married her college sweetheart, New York Giants quarterback Tim Hasselbeck. Three years later she gave birth to her daughter, Grace Elisabeth.

She is for Bush's administration and is a supporter for cervical health. She has also worked for different institutions that promote health and well being like the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Making Memories Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, The Wireless Amber Alert Program Initiative and The World Scholar Athlete Games.
