Dean is one of the sons of scientist Dr. Thaddeus “Rusty” Venture. He is the younger brother of Hank, and compared to him, Dean is more bookish and nerdy, and possesses a physique that is weaker than Hank’s. He is the shy and intelligent type, an effeminate version of his brother. Like Hank, Dean is also said to have lots of clones, which makes him appear as if he can live forever. He is the grandson of the late great scientist, Jonas Venture Sr. Dean and his brother did not go to school; they are educated with the help of subliminal learning aids that are installed in their beds.
