It's time for another Vampire Diaries flashback episode. Always good, the show frequently goes way back in time to tell the story of the vampires in past lives. We've seen Stefan, Damon and Katherine all become vampires, now it's time for the Originals.

In this clip from "Ordinary People," Alaric and Elena check out the mysterious Lockwood cave he uncovered last week and find the drawings that represent moon cycles and werewolves. That's strange enough, but Alaric also translates ancient Viking script to unveil the names of the Originals.



What other secrets will this unlock? Well, since Rebekah will be telling her side of the story, we'll get to see plenty of ancient flashbacks of the Originals, including the return of Daniel Gillies as Elijah.



The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday at 8pm on the CW.
