If there's one thing I've learned from The Vampire Diaries, it's that you can't keep a bad guy down for long, much less a hot wicked vampire. So how can Damon possibly breakout of the Salvatore basement? We find out tonight in the episode "You're Undead To Me."

But before anything else, here's what happened so far: Elena and Stefan went to the town's annual Founder's Party where Damon gave Elena a history lesson about the Salvatores. Elena then confronted Stefan but he refused to open up about anything in his life, leading Elena to think that Damon's right. With the help of Zach, Stefan spiked Damon's date Caroline and now has him locked in a cellar, while we learned that Caroline's mom, Jenna's ex and Tyler's parents are all part of a secret council on the lookout for vampires. For a more detailed recap, check out this article.

The Vampire Diaries continues tonight with Elena complaining to Matt that Stefan is being too mysterious. Matt seems to have a change of heart about Stefan because now he thinks he's a pretty decent guy but suggests that she confronts him. It doesn't work though because when she does, Stefan throws her even more vague non-answers. It also doesn't help that an old man recognizes Stefan and the fact that he hasn't aged a bit --- which throws Elena for a loop even more.

Later, though, Stefan, who is hopeful that his plan to get rid of Damon is working, reveals parts of his past to Elena. But something tells me that won't be enough to appease Elena's apprehensions, especially when she hears a disturbing story about the Salvatore family from a complete stranger.

Check out this video clip from tonight's episode.

Meanwhile, Damon tries to seek help from Caroline by haunting her with visions of him. Bonnie, on the other hand, seeks advice from her grandmother (guest star Jasmine Guy) when she surprisingly discovers abilities she didn't know she possessed.
