The CW lineup is about to get even hunkier, if that was even possible, with two new recurring roles on The Vampire Diaries and Life Unexpected.

Last year was rough for stars Taylor Kinney (Trauma) and Shaun Sipos (Melrose Place). Both of their shows failed, but now both are getting a second shot on the CW's hot new shows.

-According to EW's Michael Ausiello, Kinney is joining the cast of The Vampire Diaries as Mason Lockwood, Tyler's uncle. With strange changes happening to Tyler and his dad in the season 1 finale, there are plenty of secrets to explore in the Lockwood family. Of course, if you've read the books or spoilers about the books, the family secret isn't so secret.

-Fancast is reporting that Melrose Place star Shaun Sipos is coming back to the CW in Life Unexpected. The Melrose bad boy is joining the cast as a new teacher at Lux's school. Please, Life Unexpected, do NOT go down the incredibly cliched road of having Lux and the hot new teacher get into a relationship. This show is way too good to start stealing storylines from Pretty Little Liars.
