Gabrielle Carteris
Best known for her role in the 1990s series Beverly Hills 90210, Gabrielle Anne Carteris was born on January 2, 1961, in Scottsdale, Arizona.  She took an interest in arts as early as high school.  She studied ballet and went on a European tour as a mime.  She has a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Sarah Lawrence College.  In 2002, she married stock broker Charles Isaac, with whom she has two daughters.

Her biggest break came in 1990 when she was cast as the brainy school paper editor, Andrea Zuckerman, in Beverly Hills 90210.  She was notably the oldest member of the cast to play a high school student.  She left the show five years later in 1995 and hosted a tabloid talk show for a year.  She also did a string of movies from 1989 onwards, mostly in minor or supporting roles.  These include the 1989 drama Jackknife, the 1992 thriller Raising Cane, and a voice role on the 2002 science fiction film Minority Report. Her most recent project was doing the voice of Elektra in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. In 2006, she suffered an injury while filming in Vancouver, Canada, which paralyzed her face and affected her speech for half a year.

In 2003, Carteris was cast in the very first season of the VH1 reality show The Surreal Life.  The show features celebrities who are said to be past their primes and puts them in a Hollywood Hills mansion for two weeks.  As if this is not enough, unforgiving cameras also follow their every move.  This season, Carteris had a tiff with actor Corey Feldman particularly during their trip to Vegas.  Other than this exciting trip to sin city, highlights of the season include a camping trip and Feldman's wedding to his girlfriend at the season finale.
