Dylan and
Cole Sprouse aren’t just big television tween stars. The twin brothers, most famously known now for their roles on Disney’s hit series
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, are also busy exploring other industries beyond the small screen, one of which is the literary scene.
In the Spring, the boys will be attending this year’s Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, which claims to be “the country’s largest celebration of the written word.” The event will take place on Saturday, April 26, from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday, April 27, from 10am to 5pm at the UCLA Main Campus. It is not known at this time on which day Dylan and Cole Sprouse will grace the event.
Those planning to attend the event will not only get to see the
Suite Life stars, but also hundreds of other prominent authors and exhibitors. Attendees can also take part in the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes, to be held on Friday, April 25. The special evening will honor some of the best books of 2007 and their writers, and shall kick off the Festival of Books.
Dylan and Cole Sprouse have been working hard on developing their own book series since 2006. Last June, Simon & Schuster, Inc. published the first two books
47 R.O.N.I.N., a spy series that follows twin brothers – modeled after the Sprouse brothers – who become members of rogue crime-fighting organization dating back to feudal Japan.
As of December, four books have been released:
The Revelation, The Showdown, The Getaway and
The Siege.
Dylan and Cole Sprouse’s writing venture does not mean the end of their television career, however, as both have expressed eagerness to get back to work amidst the ongoing writers’ strike. Tonight, a new episode of
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is set to air on Disney, with skateboard sensation Tony Hawk appearing as a special guest star.
