Like another pair of Hollywood twins,
Dylan and
Cole Sprouse have established themselves in the entertainment industry by working side-by-side in numerous projects that even go beyond the realm of television and film. However, this doesn't mean that they'll always receive recognition as a duo.
Recently, the nominations for the upcoming Kids Choice Awards were announced, and among the nominees for leading young actor in a television series are the celebrity brothers. Each of them received nod, while their hit tween series,
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, was nominated for best TV show alongside Nickelodeon's
Drake & Josh and
iCarly, and fellow Disney series
Hannah Montana.
This, however, is not the first time the Sprouse brothers have been nominated for an award separately. Last year, they each received Young Artist Award nod for Best Performance in a TV Series- Leading Young Actor.
Aside from receiving recognition separately, the
Suite Life stars have also begun to pursue solo projects. Dylan recently worked on a film called
Snow Buddies, for which he provided his voice for one of the movie's canine heroes.
“I did a voice-over in the movie Snow Buddies. It was really fun,” he told
CosmoGIRL!, “but it all depends. Sometimes we just want to go out for things alone, so we do. There's not a waking moment of the day when we're not together, so sometimes it's nice to get away.”
Dylan, admitted, however, that he and his brother often miss each other when they're working on different projects.
“But since we are always together, we miss each other when we're apart,” he explained.
It seems they won't have to endure being away from one another for now, as
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is set to return next season with an all-new setting. The revamped series has been titled
Suite Life on Deck, which has the twins enrolling at a summer-at-sea program with hotel heiress London Tipton (
Brenda Song).
When asked if they watch
Suite Life on air, the brothers gave very different responses.
“Oh, I love watching the show! I'll actually really laugh, like I've never seen it before,” Dylan said. “It's Cole who gets chronically embarrassed when he watches.”
“Dylan's making a really big deal out of it — and it's not,” Cole interjected in his defense. “I'll sit and I'll watch it. But I'd just rather not watch myself.”
