Next month, Disney Home Video is releasing a new family film called
Snow Buddies, which features the voice talent of
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody star
Dylan Sprouse.
Snow Buddies, a sequel to the 2006 movie
Air Buddies, follows the five talking puppies as they embark on a new adventure -- a dog-sledding race across Alaska. They are joined by two new friends, and together they learn about the power of teamwork and following one's dreams.
Apart from Dylan Sprouse, who voices Alaskan husky puppy Shasta, the movie also features the voice talents of Kris Kristofferson (
Blade) as Talon, Liliana Mumy (
My Wife and Kids) as Rosebud, Jimmy Bennett (
Gilmore Girls, Everwood) as Buddha, Josh Flitter (
Ed) as Budderball, Henry Hodges as Mudbud, Skyler Gisondo (
CSI, ER) as B-Dawg,
Tom Everett Scott (
Saved) as Buddy and Molly Shannon (
Saturday Night Live) as Molly.
Other cast members include Dominic Scott Kay (
Oliver Beene), Dylan Minnette (
Saving Grace), Cynthia Stevenson (
Men In Trees), Lise Simms (
Phil of the Future),
Jim Belushi (
According to Jim), Richard Karn (
Home Improvement) and Charles C. Stevenson, Jr. (
Will and Grace).
The film is a direct-to-DVD release. Bonus features include a blooper reel, a music video of “Lean on Me,” remade by
Hannah Montana star
Mitchel Musso, a “dogumentary,” a behind-the-scenes tour of the set from the perspective of the film's puppy stars B-Dawg, Rosebud and Mudbud, and a featurette about the film's special effects.
Snow Buddies was co-written and directed by Robert Vince. The film will be available by Tuesday, February 5, the same day Dylan Sprouse's other film,
A Modern Twain Story: The Prince and the Pauper, will be released.
The Prince and the Pauper also features Dylan's twin brother
Cole Sprouse, who costars on
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
Meanwhile, another
Suite Life star is also set to appear in an upcoming film this year.
Phill Lewis, who plays Tipton Hotel's uptight manager Moseby, is starring in a comedy entitled
Pretty Ugly People. The movie, which follows an obese woman as she attempts to find happiness, also stars Missi Pyle,
Melissa McCarthy (
Samantha Who?), Josh Hopkins, Jack Noseworthy, Octavia Spencer, Larry Sullivan and Philip Littell.
