The Suite Life of Zack and Cody star
Brenda Song has signed on to do a new film with
House actress
Lisa Edelstein. The film,
Special Delivery, will air on Lifetime Movie Network most likely in December.
The movie centers on Maxine Carter (Edelstein), a bonded courier working in the Pacific Rim. Her next assignment has nothing to do with transporting evidence or life-saving organs but for delivering Alice (Song), a bratty teenager who's making her way from China to the United States to be with her mother. Upon reaching the U.S., Maxine realizes that a trap has been set up for the two of them, and becomes responsible for Alice's safety.

Brenda ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Described as being a fast-paced and humorous film,
Special Delivery is written by Matt Dearborn (
Beverly Hills 90210,
Even Stevens) and will be directed by Michael Scott (
Touched by an Angel, Murder on Pleasant Drive). Michael Jacobs and Marc Lorber are serving as executive producer and producer, respectively, under the MarVista Entertainment banner.
Special Delivery will not Brenda Song's first foray into the world of made-for-television films. The actress, who plays hotel heiress London Tipton on Disney's
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, has appeared in various tv-movies, most of which cater to younger audiences. Those productions include
Get A Clue, Stuck in the Suburbs, The Ultimate Christmas Present and
Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior.
As for her series credits, Brenda Song worked on several shows on both cable and broadcast networks before landing her role on the
Suite Life. Such shows include
Phil of the Future, That's So Raven, Judging Amy, 7th Heaven, Bette and
Popular.
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody airs numerous times throughout the week on the Disney Channel, although the next new episode of the show won't air until February 1 as a result of the ongoing WGA strike. The show is currently on its third season.
