The Sprouse Brothers at the 13th Anniversary party of Nightmare Before ChristmasPreviously, it was reported that Dylan and Cole Sprouse, stars of Disney's hit series, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, will be attending the NASCAR race at the California Speedway as honorary starters.  More details have now emerged about the upcoming event.

As honorary starters for the Sharp AQUOS® 500, the Sprouse brothers are in charge of waving the green flag that will cue the 43 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series drivers to begin the race.

"As the youth market of NASCAR continues to grow, we want to make sure we are reaching out to our young fans," California Speedway President Gillian Zucker said.  "Having two of the biggest stars as part of the SHARP AQUOS® 500 pre-race helps to solidify the bond between California Speedway and the huge fan base Dylan and Cole [Sprouse] already enjoy."

The Suite Life stars are part of the star-filled lineup scheduled to make an appearance at California Speedway all throughout the Labor Day race weekend. 30 Seconds to Mars, fronted by actor Jared Leto (My So-Called Life) are slated to perform during the Miller Lite Rock ‘n Racing show prior to the Sharp AQUOS® 500. Serving as the Grand Marshal is 25-time Grammy Award winner Stevie Wonder.

Those interested in attending the event can log on to www.racetickets.com or call 800-944-RACE in order to purchase tickets for the race.  Attendees are also encouraged to come early to the races and check out the attractions in the Opportunity, California FanZone, a multi-million dollar facility enhancement.  Opportunity, California FanZone features a food concession by Wolfgang Puck called Apex, the Speedway's official retail store called Impulse, live bands at the entertainment stage and leisure areas.

Meanwhile, fans of the Sprouse Brothers can continue watching the famous twins on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.  The show is one of the few Disney series that has gone beyond the 65-episode limit, along with That's So Raven, which ended after 100 episodes.
