Dylan Sprouse as Zack Martin

Zack Martin of Disney's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody is played by Dylan Sprouse. He resides in the Tipton Hotel with his twin brother Cody and mother Carey, who is a headlining singer at the hotel. Worry-free and cool, Zack is less smart than his brother, and thus has less knowledge and common sense. However, he is good in math when dealing with money. He is messier than Cody, and is often playing pranks on his brother. Just like Cody, he is a fan of the Boston Red Sox, and dislikes the New York Yankees.

Despite the tricks he plays on his twin, Zack occassionally sticks up for his brother in times of need. In the first season, he had a crush on Maddie, the candy-counter girl at the Tipton Hotel.

When the twins entered Buckner Middle School, they did not get into the popular crowd, thus they made friends with Tapeworm and Max. However, when the popular kids found out that the Martins lived in the Tipton Hotel, they soon befriended Zack and Cody so that they could avail of using the hotel facilities for free.

Zack showed a slight hint of creativity and greed when he entered a beauty pageant to win the prize money, with which he planned to buy him and his brother bikes. On the other hand, Cody entered the pageant because he liked one of the contestants, Rebecca. When Cody realized Zack's plan, he exposed Zack as a boy, thus kicking him out of the competition.

Zack again showcased his talent for making money when he sold his brother's delicious cookies to the hotel guests. However, he was so engrossed in the profit they would earn that he did not realize Cody's hard work in making the cookies. The two fought because Zack was pressuring Cody to do all the work, and the fight was later resolved by their mother, Carey.
