The Sopranos

Max Casella notably returned on the television scene as Benny Fazio on HBO’s award-winning show The Sopranos. Since he entered the mafia series in season three, he illustrated what it’s like to become an aspiring member of the organized crime.  Little by little, he began to rise due to his association with Christopher.  Despite the dangers of being involved in the secret society, he showed relentless eagerness since his days as an accomplice, a hit man, a trusted associate, and acting bodyguard and driver for the mafia boss Tony, before he finally became a “made man.”  At present, he is working on several projects that will hopefully sustain his exposure in the limelight.

The former Soprano star is currently featured on ESPN’s The Bronx is Burning.  He plays the role of Yankees 3rd Base Coach Dick Howser in an eight-episode limited series based from Jonathan Mahler’s best selling book, Ladies and Gentlemen, The Bronx is Burning.  It focuses on the New York Yankees triumph over the turmoil and hysteria of 1977.  The show also stars John Turturro, Oliver Platt, and Daniel Sunjata.

Next, Max Casella will be featured in an independent film called Scaring the Fish.  Set on the bank of an isolated mountain lake, the tension-filled story follows an office worker who shows up on a company fishing trip alone.  Suspicions, turmoil and suspenseful drama sink in as the plot evolves and draws to a thought-provoking conclusion.  Casella plays the role of Dennis, joining Anthony Rapp as Gene and Chance Pinnell as Chris.

Simultaneous to his stint on The Sopranos, Max Casella made several minor appearances on television but mostly worked on voice acting projects.  Shortly after the mob drama ended, he landed a spot as Christopher Schiffer on the dramedy series Queens Supreme.
