It's time for the karaoke shows to head back to TV this month and once again, you've got your choice of Don't Forget the Lyrics and The Singing Bee.  If you must choose, go with The Singing Bee, which is just a better show overall and consistently beat Don't Forget the Lyrics in the ratings this summer.  Joey Fatone grew on me after his appearance on last season's Dancing with the Stars.  He's charismatic and a lot of fun as Singing Bee's host.  The show gives more people the opportunity to play and perform and runs at a fast pace.

 

Viewers are bound to know the song selection and can sing along from the comfort of their living room.  Songs like "Joy To The World" and "Losing My Religion" were featured in previous episodes.  Sure, we think we know the words but when the music cuts out, do we really?  That's exactly what The Singing Bee tries to find out.  The contestants compete in various games and run through approximately twenty songs during the course of an episode.  If you're looking for some fun after a long day of work or school, The Singing Bee is the way to go, airing Tuesday nights after The Biggest Loser.
