The Simpsons will once again celebrate its yearly tradition of spooks, horror and travesty as it brings fans the Treehouse of Horror XIX.  This year’s Halloween special, as reported previously, will be divided in three segments called "How to Get Ahead in Dead-Vertising," "Untitled Robot Parody" and "It's the Grand Pumpkin, Milhouse.”

Read on for a preview of this season’s Treehouse of Horror.

Tomorrow’s episode of The Simpsons opens with an exact replica of the Mad Men animated opening title sequence, an indication that the AMC series about 1960s admen is now an authentic pop-culture icon.  A silhouetted Homer Simpson, who serves as a mock-up of Donald Draper, falls in slow motion between city skyscrapers that lead to him to the polls as he attempts to cast his ballot for the 2008 Presidential election with a deadly twist.  When a confrontation with his electronic voting machine goes awry, Homer, who is an Obama supporter, faces defeat to the facelessness of Diebold, and dies.

Following the opening credits, the first tale unwinds.  "How to Get Ahead in Dead-Vertising" centers on Homer as he kills off celebrities so their likenesses can be exploited free-of-charge.

Next on the slate is "Untitled Robot Parody," a creepy parody of Transformers where robots duke it out in Springfield.  The Treehouse of Horror comes to a close with “It’s the Grand Pumpkin, Milhouse,” where Lisa accompanies Milhouse to a pumpkin patch to await the appearance of the Grand Pumpkin.  But when he finally appears, the Grand Pumpkin goes on a rampage of revenge when he discovers people carving and eating his own kind.

Don’t forget to catch The Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror tomorrow night at 8pm on FOX.

The Simpsons voice cast includes Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson, Julie Kavner as Marge Simpson, Nancy Cartwright as Bart Simpson, Yeardley Smith as Lisa Simpson, Hank Azaria as Moe, Harry Shearer as Skinner, Pamela Haden as Milhouse, and Tress MacNeille as Dolph.
