Born on September 21, 1981, Nicole Richie studied at The Buckley School and attended the University of Arizona where she studied arts and media for two years. She made her acting debut in the movie Kids in America. She also appeared on television shows like MADtv, Six Feet Under, 8 Simple Rules and American Dreams. As the adopted daughter of Lionel Richie, she got inspired to venture into music and even became part of a rock band called Darling. In addition, she can play the piano, cello and violin.

Richie stars on the reality show The Simple Life. As the on and off best friend of socialite Paris Hilton, she gives life to the show with her mayhem and mischief. Although she often turns the situation into chaos, she remains to be a delight to watch. Her natural knack for entertaining the viewers certainly makes her an important feature of the program.
