Born on January 7, 1960 in Newark, New Jersey, David Marciano is a product of troubled youth. His foray into drinking and gambling ended when he almost died in a car crash. After this near-tragedy, Marciano took up Biomedical Engineering at the Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He shifted to another course before he pursued acting. His notable roles are in shows such as The Last Don, which is based on the Mario Puzo bestseller, and Wiseguy. Steve Billings is played by David Marciano on FX Network's police-drama series The Shield. Steve is a sneaky detective who makes a habit of taking credit for the work of other detectives. He has been promoted as Captain of the Farmington police in Los Angeles, before being demoted to detective status again.
