Cathy Cahlin Ryan hails from Miami, Florida. She made her mark on the theater and commericials before settling in Los Angeles. She has already appeared in TV shows such as Family Matters, Judging Amy and Severance Pay. Ryan is the wife of Shawn Ryan, the writer and the creator of the police drama The Shield.

Corinne Mackey is played by Cathy Cahlin Ryan on FX Network's police drama series The Shield. Cathy is the estranged wife of Vic Mackey, the leader of Farmington's Strike Team. Her husband's occupation and other stressful issues caused the destruction of their marriage. She is now trying to strike a balance between taking care of her children and the pressures of being an ER nurse.
