Fans who are disappointed to hear that their favorite teen drama is going to end tonight with its freshman season finale mustn’t worry. The Secret Life of the American Teenager
, which successfully debuted in July with very impressive ratings, was renewed almost as soon as it aired for a couple of weeks. In fact, we previously reported
in mid-July that ABC Family was happy to announce that they have renewed the series for another 13-episode long season, which will be aired early next year.
Tonight, though, fans will catch a glimpse of the end of season 1, titled “Just Say No.” The episode will see the disappearance of Adrian (Francia Raisa
) from the school, which sparks a nasty rumor about her. Her father calls the police, while Grace (Megan Park
) receives multiple warnings about Ricky (Daren Kagasoff
). Amy (Shailene Woodley
) and Ben (Kenny Bauman
), on the other hand, will be deciding what’s next for their relationship.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
More interesting news comes from EW as Francia Raisa, who plays Adrian on The Secret Life of the American Teenager
spilled the beans about season 2 during her appearance on Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. She promises fans that there will be some shocking moments and a lot more drama in the upcoming season of the ABC Family series.
"There's a big shocker between Ben and Amy," Raisa hinted. "Just remember, Ben kept insisting on Amy marrying him, and she might actually do it. That's all I'm saying!"
She adds that her on-screen parents will have a little bit of intriguing drama as well, revealing, “There's a bunch of drama going on with my [character's] dad so there's more about that. And of course there's drama with Ricky.”
Moreover, the 20-year-old actress says that her character will have a little twist in the sophomore season of the series. She said, “There's a little twist with my character, as well. Just remember, my character said in the first episode, 'No one ever takes advantage of me,' so really think about that line.”
“I know a lot of people will appreciate the little twists that they are bringing into these characters,” Raisa said.
