L.J. Smith's books might be enough to go on when it comes to The Secret Circle, but there's a lot more to be revealed about the show. Developed by Kevin Williamson of The Vampire Diaries fame, this CW series is magic. Or at least, that's what it's about.
From what we found out about The Secret Circle season 1, there's a coven of witches and a girl named Cassie (Britt Robertson) who finds out that she's destined to be one of them.
What to expect on The Secret Circle season 1:
First of all, here's your sneak peek of the new series.
There's your introduction to the show, so let's get down to the specifics. As you may have seen, the pilot episode deals with Cassie's traumatic loss of her mother and their house. She moves in with her grandma in Washington and ends up as the new girl in a new school, which sounds normal enough until you get to the part about it being a conspiracy.
A coven of witches has planned this from the start, and they want Cassie to do something for them. We're not sure what it is yet, but darker powers are at work and it might have a lot to do with the adults of the town.
As for Cassie's classmates, the official press release mentions "sweet-natured Diana and her handsome boyfriend Adam, brooding loner Nick mean-girl Faye and her sidekick Melissa."
Throughout The Secret Circle season 1, we'll be meeting new characters and know more about the coven. Cassie's mother has a lot more to tell, and it's not all in the leather-bound book she hid for her daughter.
Also starring on the show are Ashley Crow as grandma Jane, Gale Harold as Diana's mysterious dad Charles Meade and Natasha Henstridge as Principal Dawn Chamberlain. Find out more about the series by visiting our Facebook page; just click that fan box on the right side.
