The Real World Hollywood: Episode 4 Recap

On tonight's dramatic episode of The Real World, Joey took his drinking problem to a whole new level while Brianna faced her criminal charges back home in Philly.  Brianna decided to take Will back with her for moral support.  He got to meet all of her friends and see the strip club that she worked at before coming on the show.  She even did a routine for him at the bar.  Brianna's main focus didn't seem to be on her court case and Will kept trying to steer her in the right direction.

Brianna's ex, Bobby, decided to drop the charges, renewing her love for him.  She told him how good he looked and asked if the two could talk when she got back to California.  When Brianna talked to her mother, she told her to drop him like a bad habit, that she deserved better.  Though Brianna knows that deep down, she is having a hard time acting on it and demanding respect.

During a night out at the bar, Joey began to overindulge in alcohol.  Dave, being a good friend and roommate, tried to warn him to slow down but it only fueled Joey's fire.  He stayed up until almost 9am drinking all night and when his roommates complained, he snapped..  He ran around screaming, swearing, throwing things, hitting himself, and threatening everyone in the house.  Kimberly and Sarah were scared and tried to hide, waiting for Joey to either leave or pass out.

The next day, the roommates (minus Brianna and Will) sat Joey down and expressed their concern for him.  Joey, naturally defensive, decided that he should just leave and called The Real World producers to get him out of there.  They convinced him to remain on the show but complete a 30 day treatment program.  Embarrassed by his behavior, Joey apologized to everyone and packed his bags.  Brianna and Will arrived home the next morning and the house felt a little emptier without Joey.

Did the producers make the right decision with Joey?
Yes, he really needed rehab.
No, he should've been sent home.
