The Real World Hollywood: Episode 3 Recap

Previously, on The Real World, Brianna saw Joey's dark side after a heavy night of drinking.  Kimberly and Brianna had it out on the streets of Hollywood over how many guests they can have in the house.  Greg overheard what his roommates think of him and vowed to live up to his reputation.

Dave tries to figure out where Kimberly's head is at.  The two flirt and cuddle but have yet to form a real relationship.  She teases him and says that she'd sleep with him if he were hotter but ends up in his bed later that night.  Neither of them wants a title of boyfriend or girlfriend, so I guess they'll just sleep together all season.

The roomies head out for a night at the bar and Joey decides that he's not going to drink.  Of course, being out at a bar, people are going to offer him drinks and it starts making him mad.  He tries to tell Dave that he once had an alcohol problem but, minutes later, has a drink in his hand.  Brianna makes the big mistake of kissing a girl, who happened to have been doing coke.  She decides to head home and call it a night.  There, she talks about how she battled addiction when she was younger.  Why is The Real World bringing on former addicts?  Does this sound like a safe environment for them?

Back at the house, Brianna doesn't want to talk to Joey, feeling that when he's drunk, it really turns her off.  Later, the two sit down for an emotional talk.  He worries that one day, the roommates will wake up and he'll be dead.  He says that he doesn't to live anymore and that life sucks.  After sobering up, Joey vows to try to stay on the straight and narrow path.  He and Brianna kiss and make up after many apologies are exchanged.  The next day, Joey takes out his anger on a punching bag, literally ripping the skin off of it.  Brianna goes back to feeling afraid and uncomfortable, telling Will that she doesn't want to be in any kind of relationship with Joey.

A mystery surfaces in the house.  Someone keeps leaving things in people's bed.  Will finds rocks in his bed and Dave finds something that grosses him out.  Everyone assumes that it's Greg, feeling that nobody else is creepy enough to do such a thing.

The roomies get a letter saying that they should meet someone named Andy at a theater.  When they get there, it's Andy Dick that they're meeting and they'll be taking classes at IO West in Hollywood.  Greg immediately interrupts Andy, saying he has no idea who he is.  They move from that awkward moment and meet Charna, the Artistic Director.  She'll train them personally and also tells them that they must see shows at the theater, too.  Tough life.

Joey gets very jealous when Bri brings a random guy home from a bar (who has a dumb haircut and even dumber jokes).  He vents to Greg, who says that she's playing games with him.  The pranks continue when someone leaves $50 and $100 bills on Greg's bed.  Who has cash like that to throw around?  It looked real, too.

Greg shines in the first improv class, impressing Charna and his roomies with his quick wit.  They are all invited to an improv show that night but Greg opts out.  He would rather spend it with an attractive woman he recently met.

When Brianna's guy from the bar blows her off, Joey calls her out for her poor taste.  She tells Joey that he's more into himself than he is into anyone else, which pisses him off.  Greg eases the pain by bringing over a girl just for him.  That'll do it.
Should The Real World cast former alcohol or drug addicts?
No, it's not a good environment for them to be in.
Yes, everyone deserves a second chance.
