Here’s what happens when you let a bunch of teenagers vote for The Real World Awards. Almost everyone from recent seasons win because there’s zero appreciation for great, classic seasons like San Diego and Seattle. I loved the idea of the awards ceremony but was slightly disappointed when I saw Jeffrey Ross was hosting. I also didn’t get why there wasn’t an audience, really. I would think that fans would have loved to be there and see all the cast members come together for one night. Still, the night brought back great memories and made me smile when I got to see my favorite cast members of the past. Read on to find out the winners of last night’s Real World Awards bash!

Hottest Male: Johnny from Key West

Okay, I love Johnny Bananas. Who doesn’t? I’m just a little partial to Chris from Chicago.  Was he even there?


Best Phone Call Gone Bad: Jacquese and Robin from San Diego

When Robin landed in jail during her season of The Real World, she tried to call the house to get someone to rescue her. Jacquese answered the phone and Robin told him she thought she was in Mexico. She was actually in San Diego. Somehow, he figured out where she was, called her dad, and Robin was bailed out of jail after slapping a sailor.


Biggest Playa: Colie from Denver

Colie gets drunk everywhere she goes, including the awards ceremony. I’m not sure I’d be proud of beating out Tek Money and Brad.


Gone, Baby, Gone: Irene from Seattle

Ah, the slap heard around the world. Irene wasn’t there to accept her award but Stephen did in her place. When he tried to act like he was cool with Irene, Nathan ratted him out, saying the two haven’t talked since their days in Seattle.


Favorite Love Story: Danny and Melinda from Austin

I’m a little annoyed that Pedro didn’t win this one. Actually I’m a lot a bit annoyed. Melinda made out with another girl in the beginning of Austin and I feel like she had a boyfriend or something when she first started filming. I guess they’re a good love story but there have been better.


Steamiest Scene: Steven, Trishelle, and Brynn from Las Vegas

No one was excited to accept this award. Steven didn’t even show up. Brynn is now a mother and Trishelle has left her hot tub days in the past. Still, though, it was a classic Real World moment that many casts have tried to recreate in their respective seasons.


Roommate You Love To Hate: Coral from Back to New York

I don’t love to hate Coral. I just love Coral. I especially love her for throwing her award into the pool and watching the shocked expression on Susie’s face. If I could hang out with any Real World cast member for a day, I’d pick Coral. Wait, any female cast member. If it was any male member, I’d pick Nathan. I don’t care if he has gray hair. He’s so hot.


Best Fight: Davis and Tyrie from Denver

I’m not sure that this was the best fight in the history of The Real World. Maybe it’s the best fight where two people threw around racial and homosexual slurs and sort of almost fought but not really. Is there an award for that?


Best Brush With The Law: Robin from San Diego

Robin's second award for drunkenly slapping a sailor.  Way to go.


Best Dance Off: Johanna from Austin

She's got the moves, baby.  MTV is the only place that you can shake your ass like a stripper in a rap video and get an award for it.  Display that proudly, Johanna.


Hottest Female: Svetlana from Key West

Alright, Fitz, way to go!  She beat out Jacinda of London, now a movie actress and Mallory of Paris, a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.  Hello, bragging rights!


Best Season: Austin

This just goes to show how old the voters are.  They chose season 16 as the best season ever.  I think San Diego was the best season.  I also loved New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Back To New York, Vegas - ANY of those would have been a good choice.  The earlier cast members must have felt OLD.  If it's any consolation, I still love you guys.
