As reported previously, The Real World season 21 is currently filming in Brooklyn, New York, while casting for season 22 is already underway.  But just like The Real World Hollywood, MTV will also be casting one participant of The Real World season 22 through an online voting contest, which will run until December 10.

The first round, which kicked off on Wednesday, October 8, is called Meet and Greet and will last until 9pm on November 11 with the top 50 percent moving onto the next round.  This initial phase requires you to upload at least one video that covers who you are and why you would be a good housemate.  It also requires you to upload at least three photos of yourself and write one blog entry detailing what your family will be surprised to learn about you if you were cast on The Real World, and which of your activities or traits would you not want your family to see on TV.

Meanwhile, this is just the first of four rounds applicants must go through in order to get the coveted online spot so Real World fans will just have to stay tuned for more updates on the next three rounds.  As for the remaining six housemates, producers will be holding casting calls for the rest of the month.

The schedule for the open casting call is as follows:

October 18 – 10am to 5pm
The Big Bang Dueling Piano Bar
501 S. Mill Avenue #B101
Tempe AZ 85281

October 18 - 10am to 5pm
University of Alaska – Anchorage
Student Union Building
3211 Providence Drive
Anchorage, Alaska 99508

October 19 – 11am to 6pm
Brothers Bar and Grill
704 University Ave.
Madison, WI 53715

Additionally, producers are also holding “meet and greets” by appointment only in Chicago, Washington DC, Miami, and Minneapolis.  To be considered, check out The Real World's official website for details.
