Five years after MTV aired season 12 of
The Real World: Las Vegas, a spin-off called
Reunited: The Real World Las Vegas was launched to bring back together old cast members for a seven-episode mini-series, which began filming in April in Palms Hotel and Casino. One of the stars, Arissa Hill, revealed her sentiments on the reunion that recently concluded on Wednesday, July 11.
In an interview with the
Malden Observer, Arissa Hill shared her thoughts on the reality show that changed her life.
“It was definitely a challenge the second time around. We’ve all kind of grown apart,” Arissa Hill, who was known for her fiery and notorious disposition during her first stint on
The Real World: Las Vegas, told the
Malden Observer.
“I don’t conduct things now as though everything is about me. I’ve become a lot less selfish,” added the 28-year-old Malden native. “I’ve managed to work out a lot of things that I was going through. It alleviated a lot of my conflict issues. I’ve become a lot less aggressive in my behaviors because I have worked out so many things internally.”
Reunited: The Real World Las Vegas premiered on May 30 and brought together Alton Williams, Arissa Hill, Brynn Smith, Frank Roessler, Irulan Wilson, Steven Hill, and Trishelle Cannatella.
Among the highlights of the show were the drama between Williams, Hill, and Wilson, the parties thrown for Smith, Cannatella’s new movie, the party at the Playboy suite, Frank’s blind dates, and gambling at the casino.
After the filming of
The Real World: Las Vegas, Arissa Hill moved to Las Vegas where she married a bodyguard. Eventually, she appeared on
Battle of the Sexes II, which caused her relationship to fall apart and also caused some friction amongst her former cast members.
At present, she lives alone in Long Beach. She is preoccupied with painting and dedicates her free time to environmental activism.
“I turned into a hippie in California,” she said. “I go on these shows to get more of a voice for these issues. If the arguments that I get into bring attention to something larger, I’m OK with that.”
