Nicole Jackson was featured as a member of the cast in the tenth season of the MTV reality television series The Real World, titled Back to New York. Although she grew up watching her mother suffer through an abusive and lengthy relationship, she resolved not to let the same thing happen to herself, and worked hard to try and achieve a better life. Jackson emerged on top as a graduating senior of her class at Morris Brown University, where she proved her intelligence and diligence with no less than a 4.0 grade point average, showing just how far she could go.
She lives in an apartment in Atlanta, located at a subsidized housing project, for which she pays $22 a month. Although she is a biracial child of both black and white bloodlines, she still stays fiercely proud of her African-American heritage rather than her white roots, showing her preference by dating only black men. Jackson has been a strong critic of Mike Mizanin’s views, and even of the more easygoing Malik Cooper’s mellow attitude regarding his own biracial traits. She criticized Cooper for being willing to date women who weren’t black, and made an issue out of him wearing a t-shirt of Marcus Garvey, who advocated her own personal views of racial purity.
