Joey Kovar is a 24-year-old aspiring actor from Chicago, Illinois. He has done small parts in small movies and is raring to do more. A self-confessed true blue Chicagoan, Kovar admits he has never stepped foot outside Illinois. He is a former bodybuilder and now works as a personal trainer. As such, he works out all the time and is very conscious about his body and well-being. He says he is very passionate about helping people achieve their dream bodies and their fitness goals. Although he tries to be focused, he admits having a troubled past. He was in a band for five years during which he sang, wrote songs, and played the drums and the guitar.
Kovar is part of the newest season of MTV’s reality show, The Real World. It features seven strangers who live in a house for several months while cameras record their every move. The show moves to a different city each season. The Real World: Hollywood is the twentieth and latest installment to this highly successful series. For this season, majority of the cast aspire to work in the entertainment and broadcast industries, precisely the reason why it is set in Hollywood, California. For the first time, the cast will also depend on environmentally friendly amenities, such as a solar-heated swimming pool, bamboo flooring, and energy-efficient lighting, among others.
Along with the other cast members, Kovar is an intern in this season’s workplace, IO West, a comedy club in Hollywood, which presents sketch and improvisational comedy every night. It was reported in August last year that Kovar left the show following an unclear series of events.
